This study is critical because several studies state that the two have similar meanings. Still, each has distinct identities and characteristics that need to be discussed academically as further consideration of the concepts presented. Wasa?iyyah is a middle way of thinking and acting in Islam, not merely referring to a standing position between the two, but is associated with the best and foremost balance. This study uses discourse analysis to understand the conceptual definition of both wasatiyyah and moderation. This study concludes that the meaning of Wassatiyah contains several different elements, whereas Wasatiyyah is mainly built on theological constructions based on the Al-Qur'an. Wasa?iyyah, on the other hand, is an offer made from an Islamic point of view to engage in efforts to deradicalize religion with several characteristics and traits found in the Qur'an and formulated by Islamic scholars.
2023-11-12T00:00:00+00:00Copyright (c) 2023 Ahmad Suharto, Ridwan Sadili, Abdullah Muslich Rizal Maulana, Intan Pratiwi Mustikasarihttps://journal.uinmataram.ac.id/index.php/sangkep/article/view/8776THE COMMUNITY OF DAWN FIGHTERS2023-11-16T03:04:52+00:00Muhammad Irhammuhammad.irham@univrab.ac.idPipir Romadipipir.romadi@uin-suska.ac.idArya Arwandaaryaarwanda85@gmail.com
This paper tries to analyse the presence of the Community of Dawn Fighters in rural regions, especially in its existence, which is recognised and strongly explores activities and programmers as da'wah activities and the performance of religious theory in rural public spaces. This article will also express the effort and initial exploration of the youth da'wah movement to form a pious and better self. In addition, this article will express the progressivity of young people to be closer to the mosque or mosque, pray at dawn in congregation at the mosque, regularly recite recitations, be persistent in seeking religious knowledge, and preach through the Community of Dawn Fighters. This study also expresses the articulation of the Islamic identity of young people in rural public spaces. Through cognitive observations of participants in the Community of Dawn Keritang Fighters and online interviews (netrography), as well as previous literature sources, this article shows that the form of existence carried out by young people began with: first, these young people carried out early explorations of the socialisation movement and travelled around dawn. Second, young people carry out da'wah activities as a means of existence. Third, these young people publish through attributes and fashion as encouragement in their da'wah. Apart from the progress of existence carried out by young people, what is the strength of this entire movement is the support from various groups and parties, such as the community, ulama, and the local government.
2023-12-03T00:00:00+00:00Copyright (c) 2023 Muhammad Irham Irham, Pipir Romadi, Arya Arwandahttps://journal.uinmataram.ac.id/index.php/sangkep/article/view/8989GUS DUR'S MULTICULTURAL TRACES2023-12-02T04:06:51+00:00Khoirotun Ni'mahkhoirotunnimah091002@gmail.comFaisa Noor Ika PutrantiPutranti@gmail.comMuhammad MiftahMiftah@gmail.comNaza Amalia Adilfi RachmiRahmi@gmail.com
This research examines Gus Dur's role as an agent of national unity and integrity in the multicultural context of Indonesia. So cases of child marriage become difficult to stop. Despite the presence of the Child Marriage Law as a very important legal instrument in protecting children's rights and preventing child marriage. This research is field research using qualitative methods through a phenomenological approach. This approach is used in an effort to describe field facts based on the phenomenologist's experience without intervention from the researcher. So this method does not focus on statistical measurements or calculations, but rather emphasizes a deep understanding of the characteristics and context of the phenomena studied using qualitative data. The results of the research show that: In the view of religious communities there are no clear provisions regarding the age requirements for marriage. However, the measurements used to determine whether it is permissible or not still give rise to various interpretations. Meanwhile, in the cultural context of the Sasak community, the existence of Merariq culture is the main support that there are also no provisions regarding the age that is considered valid for carrying out this tradition. It only refers to the readiness and agreement of both parties, even in some cases Merariq is also carried out even without the woman's consent. So laws regarding marriage age are often violated because society is still guided by religious understanding and cultural practices.
2023-12-06T00:00:00+00:00Copyright (c) 2023 Siti Aminahhttps://journal.uinmataram.ac.id/index.php/sangkep/article/view/8488SASAK MIGRANT WORKERS: 2023-11-03T06:26:43+00:00Saipul Hamdishamdi@unram.ac.diHaifazah Awaliahafizah.awalia@unram.ac.idRiska Ainiriskachenot37@gmail.comSukarmankarmanm772@gmail.comIhfan Rahmawadiihfanr@gmail.com
Migrant workers’ lives are filled with drama and social difficulties ranging from enslavement, new cultural obstacles, and social disputes in the places where they work. This article looks at the cultural obstacles that Sasak migrant workers experience in Malaysia, as well as the patterns of slavery that emerge in the workplace. This study was conducted in Suaralaga utilizing qualitative methods and a case study approach. According to the findings, the majority of Indonesian migrant workers face slavery, exploitation, and discrimination in the workplace. They frequently do not receive their salary because the brokers who brought them to the company subtracted and took them. These brokers charge a high fee, resulting in migrant laborers receiving inadequate or no pay at all. Slavery occurs not just in Malaysian enterprises, but it is even more heinous in Indonesian territory when migrant laborers arrive by sea. Although cultural concerns do not pose a problem for migrant employees due to many parallels with Malaysian society, other habits such as consuming beer, free sex, and prostitution in the community surrounding the company make foreign workers uncomfortable. Failure of migrant workers in Malaysia to provide remittances to their families has a significant influence on their family life at home, particularly in meeting the daily necessities of their wives and children
2023-11-12T00:00:00+00:00Copyright (c) 2023 Saipul Hamdi, Hafizah , Riska Aini, Sukarman, Ihfan Rahmawadihttps://journal.uinmataram.ac.id/index.php/sangkep/article/view/8613MANIFEST AND LATENT FUNCTIONS IN THE MERARIQ TRADITION OF THE SASAK TRIBE, LOMBOK, WEST NUSA TENGGARA2023-11-12T02:56:40+00:00A Zahid Zahidazahidwaris19@gmail.com
Merariq is one of the traditions of the Sasak people of Lombok, West Nusa Tenggara which is still maintainMerariq is one of the traditions of the Sasak people of Lombok, West Nusa Tenggara which is still maintained to this day. Cyber Public Relations practices at a public university in Malang utilize new media Instagram, and website as official communication channels. This research aims to identify the effectiveness of using new media as a two-way communication medium with the framework of Dialogic Communication theory. This research is a type of quantitative descriptive research with quantitative content analysis data collection techniques on Instagram features and uploads and the university’s website from 1 June - 31 August 2023. The results of the research indicate that the application of Dialogic Communication principles in managing content and features on the website is effective, with effectiveness of 66.8%. Meanwhile, the application of Dialogic Communication principles in content management on Instagram is less effective, with an effectiveness of 48%. Researchers suggest that to achieve two-way communication between universities and the public, as well as effective implementation of the Dialogic Loop principle, the Public Relations Division of the university needs to manage content that can facilitate direct dialogue between the institution and the public, for example via the comment column, or conversation space on Instagram or the website.
2023-12-06T00:00:00+00:00Copyright (c) 2023 Dwi Anisa Febrianti, Prof. Rachmat Kriyantono, Prof. Anang Sujoko
