Aims and Scope
eL-HIKMAH: Jurnal Kajian dan Penelitian Pendidikan Islam (e-ISSN 2527-4651, p-ISSN 2086-3594), a journal of Islamic Education published twice a year by Pendidikan Agama Islam Department, Universitas Islam Negeri Mataram since 2007, is concerned with publishing original (library or field) research articles in the field of Islamic education. All submitted papers are subject to double-blind review process. This Journal has become a CrossRef member since year 2015. Therefore, all articles published will have unique Digital Object Identifier (DOI) number.
The scopes of the published articles in the prioritized order are as follows:
Historical, Socio-cultural or political perspective of Islamic education
The scope pertains to the idea that teaching and learning Islamic Education is not only about the Islamic Education itself but also its connection to a broader context of our life. It can be various topics such as history, social-political, social justice, social-emotional, gender equity, values, characters or moral development, etc.
Affects in Islamic Educations teaching and learning
The scope deals with a basic question, how Islamic Educations-related affects contribute to the teaching and learning of Islamic Educations? The affects in Islamic education can be various topics such as motivations, emotions, confidence, etc.
The development of students Islamic Educations literacy
This scope answers the question, how does Islamic Educations learning develops students' Islamic Educations literacy? It refers to research on the educators' effort to support and enhance students' roles and engagement in constructing Islamic Educations knowledge and skills. It is not only about the achievement of students but also the process of learning which develops character, values, attitudes, problem-solving, reasoning and proof, representations, connections, communications, and high order thinking. The educators' effort can be in the form of developing Islamic Educations tasks, learning materials, the use of digital technologies, etc.
The development of Islamic educators competencies
The scope is devoted to any research, which supports prospective or in-service Islamic educators develop their professionality.
