History
eL-HIKMAH: Jurnal Kajian dan Penelitian Pendidikan Islam (e-ISSN 2527-4651, p-ISSN 2086-3594), a journal of Islamic Education, published twice a year since 2007 by the Department of Pendidikan Agama Islam, Universitas Islam Negeri Mataram, aims to publish original (library or field) research articles in the field of Islamic Education. All submitted papers are subjected to a double-blind review process.
In June 2007, el-Hikmah was published for the first time in print.
In April 2012, el-Hikmah received its International Standard Serial Number (ISSN) 2086-3594 (print version) from the Indonesian Institute of Science (PDDI LIPI).
In April 2016, El-Hikmah was available online at http://ejurnal.iainmataram.ac.id/index.php/el_hikmah, using the PKP/OJS 2 platform and workflow.
In May 2016, El-Hikmah received ISSN 2527-4651 (online version) from PDDI starting from Vol. 10, No. 1, June 2016.
In June 2016, El-Hikmah became a member of CrossRef and had a unique DOI number and is indexed in Moraref, Google Scholar, at all.
In 2018, El-Hikmah was available online at https://journal.uinmataram.ac.id/index.php/elhikmah, using the PKP/OJS 3 platform and deleting the old website. This migration is a consequence of upgrading the institutional status and domain.
In May 2023, el-Hikmah received its first accreditation from the Director General of Strengthening Research and Development, Ministry of Research Technology and Higher Education of the Republic of Indonesia through Director Decree No. 79/E/KPT/2023, this accreditation is valid for vol 15 (2021) - vol 19 (2025).
The revision template has changed three times. The first template was used for volume 1 to volume 9 (2015), the second change was used since volume 10 (2016), and the third template change from 2023 for volume 17 issue 1. In addition to the appearance, the size of the paper field from b5 to A4, changes also occurred in the citation style from Turabian style to APA style. The reason for the revision of the article template is technical and aims to fulfil the COPE standard manuscript and to ensure high quality manuscripts.
