GUIDELINES FOR WRITING SCIENTIFIC ARTICLES AT JURNAL PERBANKAN SYARIAH

  1. Articles published in the Journal of Islamic Banking are the result of research in the fields of Islamic banking and banking, Islamic banking management, Islamic bank financial performance, aspects of Islamic banking products and services, and other financial studies. The word count for all articles is between 4,000 and 7,000 words.
  2. Articles are written in Indonesian or English. The format for an article is as follows: title, author(s), abstract with keywords, introduction, methods, results and discussion, conclusion, and bibliography.
  3. Article titles should be no more than 14 words. They should be centered in all capital letters, in Cambria font, and in 12-point bold.
  4. The name of the article author is listed without academic title, accompanied by the name, address of the institution of origin, and email address, placed below the article title. In the case of a manuscript written by a team, the editor only contacts the main author or the author whose name is listed first. The main author must include a correspondence address or email, in Cambria writing style, 11 point font size.
  5. The abstract should be written in good and correct Indonesian. It should consist of 150 to 175 words arranged in one paragraph with single spacing and using Cambria 11 pt font.   6. Articles should be typed in Microsoft Word using a single-column format, Cambria font style, 10-point font, and 1.15 spacing. Manuscripts should be submitted online through the Open Journal System (OJS) website at https://journal.uinmataram.ac.id/index.php/jps
  7. It is recommended to use Zotero, EndNote, or Mendeley applications for citation.
  8. The way of writing an article must refer to: 1. INTRODUCTION, 2. METHODS, 3. RESULTS AND DISCUSSION, 4. CONCLUSION, and supplemented with a BIBLIOGRAPHY.
  9. METHOD Section. This section includes a description of the type of research, the research method used, the time and place of the research, targets or objectives, research subjects, procedures, instruments and data analysis techniques as well as other matters related to the research method.
  10. FINDING AND DISCUSSION Section. The finding and discussion section is the main part of the article. The results and discussion are an attempt to answer the research questions that have been submitted. This section can be presented in a sub-heading format that is a unit. The presentation of the results and discussion of the research is accompanied by data tables, graphs, photos, images or other forms of data. The discussion of the results obtained can be explained qualitatively or quantitatively.
  11. CONCLUSION section. The conclusion can be a generalization of the findings based on the research problem. It is not a repetition of the results and discussion, but rather a summary of the findings or answers to the research problem in general. The conclusion can include suggestions or recommendations for further steps.
  12. BIBLIOGRAPHY Section. The bibliography contains a list of references used in writing the article. Thus, the bibliography contains everything that has been referred to in the article or everything written in the bibliography must be referred to in the article and arranged alphabetically, without sequential numbers. In general, the writing format used in the Society journal is in accordance with the APA (American Psychological Association) sixth edition format.   1. Tables (if any) are created without vertical lines. Only horizontal lines are used at the top and bottom of the table. The table name is then bolded and positioned above the table.

  3. All manuscripts are reviewed by reviewers appointed by the editorial team based on their field of expertise. Authors are given the opportunity to revise their manuscripts based on recommendations/suggestions from the reviewers or editor. Confirmation of publication or rejection of the manuscript will be sent via email.
