Peer Review Process
The peer review process is a process by which journals assess the quality of manuscripts before publication. They are reviewed by relevant experts in the field who review and comment on received manuscripts. This process aims to help editors determine whether manuscripts should be published in JPS: Jurnal Perbankan Syariah.
Key points in the Peer Review Process:
-
Manuscripts submitted to the journal first undergo an initial screening by the editorial team.
-
Manuscripts that pass the screening process will be sent to at least two peer reviewers for review.
-
Peer reviewers independently make recommendations to the journal editor as to whether the manuscript should be rejected or accepted (with or without revisions).
-
The journal editor considers all feedback from peer reviewers and makes the decision to accept or reject the manuscript.
The Peer Review Process for journal publication is essentially a quality control mechanism, where experts evaluate manuscripts with the aim of ensuring the quality of published manuscripts. However, peer reviewers do not make decisions to accept or reject papers, but rather provide recommendations. In JPS: Jurnal Perbankan Syariah, decision-making authority rests solely with the journal editor or the journal's editorial board.
