When learning to speak Arabic, students deal with both linguistic and non-linguistic challenges. This study used the descriptive analytical method with a qualitative approach to explore barriers in acquiring Arabic mah?rah kal?m. The subjects of this study were college students majoring in Arabic language education at IAIN Langsa, in Aceh. By means of interviews and questionnaire, the study found that impediments to mah?rah kal?m mastery were lack of self-confidence, limitations of introductory vocabulary, poor knowledge of grammar (qaw?’id) and of composition (tar?kib), and discomfort felt by listeners when lacking in conversational understanding. There were non-linguistic factors among the students too: differences in educational background; majoring in Arabic but not as a first choice; a limited language practice environment; and some limitations of teaching methodology. Accordingly, to improve students’ speaking skill, lecturers should seek to develop students’ motivation, memory, and practicing of speaking, by rehearsing examples from texts and from typical situations. To overcome barriers, academic lecturers should create supportive bi’ah lughawiyah, mandatory Arabic-day programs, and the use of media, such as YouTube, to expose students to new mufradah and pattern practices (ushlub).
2022-07-22T00:00:00+00:00 Copyright (c) 2022 El-Tsaqafah : Jurnal Jurusan PBA KAFÂATU AT-THULLABI BI QAWÂIDI AN-NAHWI WA-SHARFI WA’ALÂQATIH LIQUDROTIHIM ‘ALA QIRÂATIL KUTÂBI AL-ASFARI (AT-TURATSI) 2022-06-14T04:51:40+00:00 Iwan Hadi Saputra Mustafa Bin Che Omar Suparmanto Suparmanto
This study aims to examine and discuss how the impact of understanding and mastery of students on the rules of nahwu and shorof and the learning process at the al-Majidiyyah NW Majidi Islamic boarding school, East Lombok. Learners realize serious problems when learning Arabic in the classroom. The teacher is committed to solving their problems and makes a conscious effort to improve the educational content in the classroom. The theory of linguistic errors analysis plays an important role in identifying learners' learning problems and taking the necessary educational measures to overcome them. The study of linguistic errors makes a good contribution - theoretically - about the common linguistic characteristics in the teaching of the second language. In practice, the teacher assists in designing remedial courses by following the steps of analyzing language errors in extracting them. It complies with providing the appropriate material that prevents learners from repeating their linguistic error.
2022-07-22T00:00:00+00:00 Copyright (c) 2022 El-Tsaqafah : Jurnal Jurusan PBA PEMBELAJARAN BAHASA ARAB ANAK-ANAK BERBASIS SITUS DARING (PENDEKATAN MAHARAH LUGHAWIYYAH) 2022-02-15T15:08:44+00:00 Ahmad Zaki Annafiri
The era of technological disruption has now touched various sectors, one of which is the education sector, especially Arabic language education.
