This issue of Tatsqif Journal features educational research from authors and co-authors across Indonesia, Malaysia, Nigeria, New Zealand, Australia, and the United States of America (6 countries). This issue presents a collection of diverse research studies conducted across different educational contexts. One article explores the role of class teachers’ proximity in enhancing learners’ self-confidence at the Indonesian School in Kuala Lumpur, highlighting the importance of teacher-student relationships. Another examines the nature of teachers from the perspectives of KH. Hasyim Ash’ari and Imam Nawawi through an analysis of Adabul Alim wal Muta’allim, linking classical Islamic educational thought with modern pedagogy. A study on higher education investigates how self-directed and collaborative learning foster effective learning approaches among students. Meanwhile, research from Nigeria analyzes how social media networking affects high school students’ reading culture. In the field of science education, problem-based learning is applied through student worksheets to improve understanding of heat transfer in elementary schools.
